Yemm & Hart tries to improve our environment by producing materials for the built environment made from waste and encouraging people to recycle their used wine corks by paying for them. These materials can be considered Eco Materials in one way or another because they extend the useful life of previously extracted natural resources. Our Tire Veneer rubber sports flooring used to be auto tires. Flexisurf tough commercial vinyl flooring used to be auto upholstery. Origins is the name of our colorful recycled HDPE plastic sheet and it is made from recycled milk, shampoo, and detergent bottles. All three materials originating as petroleum. Wine Cork Recycling by Yemm & Hart pays the recycler for their corks, employs people to process them and provides the best corks to the crafters. The materials that we extend the life of, keep them out of the landfills, our waterways, the ocean and our air from incineration.
